Sara and Ollies Wedding

Yesterday was the wedding of my dear friend Sara and her now husband Ollie. It was a beautiful wedding filled with friends and family.

The wedding was held at the Swedish church in London as Sara is half swedish and half English. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was loads of fun!

I found out the night before that Sara had invited 3 girls we used to go to school with in Malaysia about 10 years ago. We used to be a tight group of 6 girls. Having not seen 3 of the girls for about 10 years it was so amazing to be able to catch up with them.

Worst kept secret

My dear friend Sara is getting married on Saturday. Since I am travelling in Asia it was clear that I would not be able to come to the wedding as it is going to be held in London.

However I had this whole surprise planned with me actually coming to the wedding and surprising Sara. Unfortunately she did find out and it's not a surprise anymore. So now I am in Bangkok waiting for my flight to London. I will be in London for 5 days and then come back to Asia and go straight to Laos.

My 5 days in London are fully packed already and I am slightly scared of going back to Europe. It's so nice and warm here in Thailand and I have not missed the cold of Europe. I am grateful it's just for a very short time that I will be in London.

Chilli

I have been living in the same guest house for about 2 weeks now. Today is the first time I realised that what I thought was a regular bush just next to my terrace is actually a chilli plant! The only reason why I saw this was because of the bright red chilli sitting there so lonely in the plant.

Compliments

Today I got a lovely compliment from one of my Muay Thai trainers. He told me I kick like a man. Haha I guess this being my 5 day and that I can already kick like a man is a good achievement.

The main trainer and owner of the gym is called Bee. He is a Muay Thai master and has his own little wall of fame at the gym. Him along with the rest of the trainers are such lovely people. Even though they are pushing us to our limits, they still manage to joke around and create a friendly atmosphere. They really do whip us into shape and they do use a small whip on us! When we are not doing the moves correctly, are to slow or are slacking off, they come and give us a whip. Sometimes we even get a whip when we are doing a good job.

It truly is a lovely place to train!

Jack Sparrow

I have found out that Jack Sparrow lives in Pai and not on Gili Trawagan as I thought!

The first picture is from Gili T and the 3 last ones from Pai.

Muay Thai is....

Freaking awesome!

I went to the class today not knowing what to expect and I really enjoyed myself. The 2 hour class just flew by and all I wanted to do was continue training. I will now be going to the classes for my remaining time here in Pai.

Yesterday I ended up not going to the kickboxing as I couldn't find the place. I was searching for it for about an hour before I gave up. It's a shame, as I. Am sure I would have enjoyed it.

Have any of you guys ever tried Muay Thai?

Nervous and excited!

Today I am going to my first kickboxing class and I am a little nervous but mostly super excited! I have always wanted to try kickboxing but never did. We will see if I can get out of bed tomorrow for my Muay Thai class. :)

Kickboxing and Muay Thai

I have decided to stay a little longer in the small relaxed town of Pai. One of the reasons is that I have signed up for kickboxing and Muay Thai classes.

Especially in the past few days I have been extremely lazy and have done shit all. I had a scooter and I would just walk from my bungalow to the scooter and the drive around. I have had enough of the laziness and have given the scooter back and have rented a bicycle instead.

It is time to get fit again! I have heard that the Muay Thai courses can be really brutal and that they push you to your limits and many beginners end up throwing up because of the hardcore exercise. Hopefully I will be able to keep my breakfast down when I go!
